Collaborating to address the problem of trafficking in persons
I am grateful for the opportunity to work with passionate, intelligent people dedicated to ending the trafficking of persons. After presenting on a congressional panel on the mental health effects of human trafficking, I was also an invited presenter to the National Advisory Committee on the Sex Trafficking of Children and Youth (for the Administration for Children and Families at the Department of Health & Human Services). I enjoy collaborating with community programs and provide supervision for agencies providing support for those currently exploited, as well as survivors of trafficking. As a subject matter expert to the Department of State, I provide trainings on trauma-informed care and trafficking and enjoy working with survivor consultants with the U.S. Advisory Council on Human Trafficking.
