On Sept 21, 2019, there will be a panel discussion on the mental health and psychosocial issues of forcibly displaced. I will be on the panel with Derrick Silove, a prominent researcher in the field. I'm pleased to do a webinar, "Clinical considerations in mental health for unaccompanied and separated youth at the border" for the Society for the Study of Psychiatry and Culture in March 2019. I'll be doing a webinar presentation on Aug 28th at 1:30pm on the barriers and enablers to mental health care for refugees, for the technical adviser for to the Office of Refugee Resettlement. Open to community agencies that receive federal funding for resettlement, as well as community partners that work with refugee communities.

On Apr 24-25, 2019, I'll be giving a Spring Symposium talk on "Promoting Family Resilience to help youth adjust following an abrupt transition to the U.S." for the Penn State Medical Center in Hershey, PA

On 9/25/2019, the National Health Collaborative on Violence and Abuse will be presenting a webinar, Children in Detention: Critical Clinical, Legal, Policy, and Human Rights Issues for Health Professionals, with representatives from KIND, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and myself discussing the mental health issues around detention.
